Team Penske is looking for a talented professional to join our team as an IT Trackside Technician / Systems Administrator. This role ensures proper server and network operations to successfully utilize technology as a competitive advantage.  This includes proactive server maintenance, retrieval of data, data syncing, backup/restore, and troubleshooting/repair as needed.  Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic methods and tools, as well as requiring individual in-person assistance.  This is an in-office position.    Responsibilities:

    Working in the NASCAR vehicle dynamics group, the candidate will develop simulation software used by the race teams and the Engineering Department as well as work on vehicle performance.  Responsibilities:

• Simulation model development.
• Model correlation with test data.
• Identifying and exploiting areas of vehicle performance / development.
• Assist the vehicle dynamics group with the development of an OEM DIL Simulator.
• Track test support.

Qualifications:

Working in the aero group, the candidate will use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to perform simulations investigating race car performance. The results from these experiments will be used to identify potential performance gains, guide wind tunnel testing, and develop body surface specifications. The CFD engineer will help make improvements to strengthen the aerodynamic performance of the race car.   Duties:
